Trash Talk

Anthony and I were in the front room today and I called to the kids in their rooms and told them that they needed to clean their rooms before they could go to practice. Mylee asked from her room, "Who has soccer practice?" I told her that it was Makay and Madison's turn to practice because she had practice yesterday. Anthony then told Mylee that she did an awesome job in her practice yesterday, but told her it looked like she was doing some trash talking. He asked her "Were you trash talking the other little girl on your team." Mylee then responded, "Of course I was. Why wouldn't I do that?" I called her into the front room to make sure she understood what she had been asked. I asked her what she had said to the other girl when they were practicing scoring goals on each other. She said, "I told her, ha ha, I scored a goal on you, but you didn't score a goal on me."
We have really been trying to help her be more aggressive and competitive out on the field because she spent most of the first game watching her teammates play the game. I think we are just going to focus on sportsmanship this year.

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

I was in my bedroom one afternoon when I heard a calm manly yelp coming from the kitchen. I ran in and found Anthony jumping around the room and saw a bowl of Ramen Noodles all over the floor. To make a long story short, Anthony will no longer be left unsupervised in the kitchen. The pictures can tell the rest of the story.

Anthony has worked very hard to keep his feet off of the Internet because the talent scouts would hound him to begin a career in foot modeling, but I guess his foot modeling career was over before it began.

Makay's first game

Makay had his first game Saturday. He made the first goal of the game. We are excited for soccer season.

We the People

The second grade class had a program about the Constitution. Anthony played the part of Alexander Hamilton and Madison interviewed him.

Anthony is a good sport. He did this last year for Makay so he already knew how goofy he would look. Dallin (my sister's boy) laughed when he saw Anthony and said "Uncle Tony looks funny."

The kids did great. Some of them had long parts and memorized the whole thing. The second grade teachers are awesome. They really make school fun.

Soccer

It's soccer time again! The girls had their first games on Wednesday.

This is Mylee's first year playing. She is so happy to finally be part of the fun .

Madison is awesome. She is going to be the next MIA HAMM!

Camping

We went camping for Labor Day weekend in the Dragoons. We had tons of fun with all the cousins playing in camp and hiking on the trails. Makay and Dallin kept the wild beasts out of camp with their expert sling shot SKILLS.

Mylee, well she was "MYLEE" the life of the party.

Madison was showing off her expert bug and butterfly catching skills.

Whether it was climbing trees, playing games, hiking trails or just hanging out at camp, we all had a lot of fun.
